Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, and by allowing you to use the Service your parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on your behalf — including the billing terms for any paid plan they purchase. The Service is intended for users in the United States; if you use it from elsewhere, you are responsible for compliance with your local laws.

CollegeCalcAI provides estimated admissions probabilities, profile analysis, essay feedback, school data, and related tools, generated by statistical models and artificial intelligence from the information you provide and publicly reported admissions data.

• Every number, score, and piece of feedback the Service produces is an ESTIMATE for informational and educational purposes only. It is not an admissions decision, a prediction certified by any college, or a promise of any outcome.
• We do not guarantee admission, scholarships, financial aid, essay results, or any other outcome, and no result from the Service should be the sole basis for application decisions.
• CollegeCalcAI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any college, university, or admissions office.
• The Service is not professional, legal, or financial advice. Independent consultants listed in our directory or using our platform are independent businesses, not our employees or agents; your engagement with a consultant is solely between you and them.

You are responsible for your account credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or create risk for us or other users. One free trial and one free usage allotment per person; creating multiple accounts to evade limits is prohibited.

The acceptance calculator is free. Paid plans (currently Advanced and Extreme) are recurring monthly subscriptions, billed through our payment processor:

• Your payment method is charged the listed price every month, automatically, until you cancel. Plans renew each month at the then-current price; we will notify you before any price change takes effect on your plan.
• You can cancel anytime from your account or the billing portal. Cancellation stops future charges and your access continues through the end of the current billing period. We do not give partial-month refunds.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If you believe you were billed in error, contact support and we will review it in good faith.
• We may change plan prices or features prospectively; changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

We may offer free trials (currently a 7-day trial of Extreme). A trial requires a valid payment method. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial and your payment method is charged the listed monthly price. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing. Trials are limited to one per person, and trial availability, length, and terms may change or end at any time.

You keep ownership of everything you submit to the Service — your profile information, essays, and other content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely to operate and improve the Service (for example, sending your essay to our AI provider to produce your review). Essay text is processed transiently to generate your review: we store the structured scores and feedback, not the essay itself. You are responsible for having the right to submit anything you submit.

• Do not misuse the Service: no scraping, automated bulk access, reverse engineering, probing or disrupting our systems, or attempting to extract our models or data.
• Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful, or that contains another person's private information without authority.
• Do not resell, white-label, or commercially redistribute the Service without a written agreement with us (consultants: see Section 9).
• Do not use results from the Service to misrepresent a student's chances to any third party.

The Service — including our models, scoring methodology, software, design, data compilations, and branding — is owned by CollegeCalcAI and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service as intended, and nothing more.

Independent educational consultants may use our platform, embed our calculator on their own websites, and receive leads generated through their embeds and referral links. Those business offerings are governed by the consultant’s separate agreement with us; where there is a conflict, that agreement controls for the consultant. If you use the Service through a consultant’s website or link, Section 4 of our Privacy Policy explains what is shared with that consultant.

We may offer referral links and rewards. Referral rewards may be changed, limited, or revoked at any time, and self-referrals, fake accounts, or spam disqualify the reward. Rewards have no cash value.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ESTIMATES ARE ACCURATE OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. ADMISSIONS DECISIONS ARE MADE BY COLLEGES, NOT BY US, AND DEPEND ON FACTORS NO MODEL CAN FULLY CAPTURE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (a) WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST OPPORTUNITIES, ADMISSIONS OUTCOMES, OR LOST PROFITS; AND (b) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF FIFTY DOLLARS ($50) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold CollegeCalcAI harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, with refunds handled per Section 4. Sections that by their nature should survive (6, 8, 11–13, 15–16) survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which CollegeCalcAI has its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at support@collegecalcai.com and give us 30 days to work it out informally. Either party may bring qualifying claims in small-claims court.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will give notice (for example, by email or an in-product notice) before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. The “Effective date” above always reflects the current version.
